Top SchoolMatthew Stratton is a senior software application engineer with a decade of experience building and maintaining scalable enterprise services at Red Hat, specializing in middleware, messaging, and devops automation. He architects and implements cross-cutting libraries and shared services—ranging from REST APIs and message busses to security and monitoring tooling—that help standardize and scale internal systems. Comfortable across Java, Python, Groovy, Spring Boot, ActiveMQ and a broad devops stack (Puppet, Ansible, Grafana, Splunk), he combines hands-on coding with operational ownership of multi-environment deployments. Matthew’s background includes modernizing legacy messaging platforms and designing generic CRUD services like Lightblue, showcasing a blend of migration strategy and pragmatic engineering. A lifelong learner who experiments outside work—from cooking new recipes to hunting coffee-shop reading nooks—he brings curiosity and attention to detail to long-lived, production systems.
