Sun Dev
Summary
👤
SeniorMatthew Sun is a Unity developer with a decade of hands-on experience building games and interactive art that blend computer science, mathematics, and visual design. He shipped multiple indie titles (The Lonely Tree, Destined to Die, Exhibitors, Water Rain) and engineered deep technical solutions—custom serialization that reduced save sizes from gigabytes to kilobytes, bespoke P2P networking with aggressive compression, and custom shaders for 360° projection. His background spans technical-art roles at the Las Vegas Sphere and Proof of Beauty Studios, internships in systems and blockchain environments, and teaching game-development concepts like compute shaders and parallel processing. Comfortable bridging artist and engineer workflows, he’s also explored emerging AI techniques such as Gaussian splatting and video generation to augment creative pipelines. Based in Cupertino and trained in Mathematics of Computation at UCLA, he’s seeking studio roles where tooling, optimization, and novel visual systems meet player-facing design.
