Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolMaxime Santerre is a seasoned software engineer and team lead with 15 years of experience building resilient, high-throughput systems across fintech and analytics. At Chime he quickly moved from IC to tech lead and launched Instant Transfers and PayAnyone, systems that handled ~20k transfers/day with near-zero manual intervention thanks to careful use of async flows, retries, FSMs, and idempotency. Previously at Segment he rebuilt a real-time MTU counting pipeline ingesting up to 500k msgs/s, replacing an incident-prone Redis approach and enabling accurate enterprise billing. He combines full-stack fluency with strong operational discipline, regularly loaned across teams to rescue deliveries and produce internal guidance for fault-tolerant systems. Based in Vancouver, he brings a practical, data-driven engineering mindset and a knack for turning high-pressure problems into production-grade, self-healing services.
