Top SchoolMichael Fenton is a Principal Data Scientist with 12 years of experience translating advanced research into production-grade analytics and privacy-preserving solutions. He has moved from academic PhD work in structural engineering and evolutionary computation to industry roles building ML systems for network security and privacy-enhancing technologies. At Trūata and now Mastercard he has specialized in bridging engineering and data science to take projects from concept to general availability while advising teams on privacy-first design. His background as a lecturer and postdoc gives him a strong foundation in rigorous experimental design and reproducible analytics. Unusually for a principal-level practitioner, he combines deep optimization and algorithmic expertise from evolutionary computation with practical experience deploying ML in regulated enterprise environments.
