Chicago, Illinois, United States
Summary
👤
SeniorMichael Goodman is a versatile web design and development consultant with 20+ years converting high-fidelity designs into responsive, production-ready sites and UI components for clients like IBM, Kraft, Roll20, and SANS. He blends strong front-end craftsmanship (HTML5, CSS/SASS, Vue, React) with design fluency in Figma, Sketch, and Photoshop, and prefers Vue for application UI work. Comfortable across Rails, .NET, Django, static site generators, and containerized deployments, he frequently ships templates and component libraries for CMS-driven and single-page apps. A self-taught designer-developer, he uniquely understands the friction between design and engineering and champions pragmatic workflows that keep projects moving. Beyond client work he maintains deep practical experience with email development, JS animation, Salesforce LWC, and building UI style guides. Based in Chicago, he’s also an electronic musician and synth enthusiast—an edge that informs his attention to interactive detail.
