Senior🎓
Top SchoolMichael Ortiz is a senior digital infrastructure executive with more than two decades of experience designing and delivering hyperscale, power-first data center campuses that support hundreds of megawatts of AI and cloud compute. As CCO and Managing Principal at Innova Cloud Data Centers he leads capital formation, site selection, and utility engagement to de-risk large-scale deployments in constrained power markets. He combines institutional finance and real estate roots with hands-on development experience from roles at Digital Realty, DFT, and his own Layer 9 venture, and played a formative role in Arizona’s data center incentive legislation. Known for aligning grid strategy, energy procurement, and capital markets, he advises boards and investors on scaling compute where power — not space — is the bottleneck. Based in Massapequa, NY, he pairs an Oxford executive education in AI/cyber with an MBA from Kelley and a pragmatic knack for turning regulatory and utility complexity into executable development timelines.
