Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolMichael Ortiz is a full-stack software and cloud engineer with a decade of hands-on experience building scalable, cost-conscious systems and APIs. He currently leads platform and telephony backend initiatives at Red Ventures while also founding Oukla, blending operational ownership with entrepreneurial drive. Michael has repeatedly delivered large AWS cost savings—over $700K annually—by tuning infrastructure, deprecating services, and improving observability, and he reduced monitoring spend by implementing Grafana. He’s proficient across the stack from high-level architecture to low-level implementation, driving Terraform/IaC, GitHub Actions CI/CD, and serverless GraphQL backends in production. A pragmatic mentor and technical liaison, he accelerates teams through tooling, reusable workflows, and automation that measurably speed deployments and reduce toil. Based in Palm Bay, Florida, he pairs an engineer’s humility with a focus on measurable business impact.
