Top SchoolMichael Sage is a web engineer with 9 years of experience building high-traffic, customer-facing React and Next.js platforms using TypeScript, focused on UX, performance, accessibility, and maintainable code. He has driven end-to-end deliveries at scale—from owning the Topshop navigation at ASOS to modernising large codebases and governance for 200+ developers at Holiday Extras. Known for rapid impact, he delivers production-ready work within days, builds R&D proofs of concept that influence strategy, and resolves critical cross-team issues before launch. He mentors engineers, shapes frontend architecture, and translates complex Figma designs into scalable implementations while collaborating closely with product, design, QA, and backend teams. Outside core engineering he supports knowledge-sharing through documentation, presentations, and community activities, and even applies audio/visual skills to company podcasts. Based in Belfast, he blends hands-on delivery with a pragmatic, story-driven approach to empower developers and improve user outcomes.
