Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolMichael Taylor is an Information Security Engineer with eight years of hands-on experience blending software development and security operations in the manufacturing and retail sectors. He designs and deploys SIEM, CLM, and firewall change-management solutions, runs vulnerability and penetration testing programs, and translates technical findings into executive risk reports while maintaining PCI and SOX controls. A former full-stack .NET/Web developer, he brings deep practical experience with Azure, SQL Server, and automation—skills he leverages to build tooling, harden devices, and mentor junior staff. Michael holds an M.S. in Computer Science focused on Information Security from James Madison University and maintains a strong DIY tech streak—running a homelab, 3D printing, and even formerly operating a craft brewery where he built integrated web and POS systems. His retro-computing interest and background in Delphi/Commodore Amiga development hint at a long-standing curiosity about low-level systems that informs his pragmatic, investigative approach to security.
