Top SchoolMichael Zhang is a Member of Technical Staff with nine years of experience building large-scale infrastructure and storage systems, now applying that expertise to AGI development at OpenAI. Previously he spent over five years at Google engineering core services for the distributed web crawler and integrations that support Search, Ads, Gemini, and Vertex AI tooling. He combines a strong academic foundation (BS/MS in Computer Science from the University of Utah) and research experience in computational tools for synthetic biology with pragmatic production engineering. Comfortable across backend systems, ETL performance tooling, and research code, he has a track record of turning complex distributed-data problems into reliable services.
