Senior🎓
Top SchoolMichal Medek is a Staff Machine Learning Engineer based in Prague with 11 years of experience building production ML systems, particularly in NLP and tabular data. He has led LLM and RAG deployments, multilingual sentiment analysis, entity recognition and disambiguation, and integrated IR and vector search backed by PostgreSQL at Productboard and prior startups. Michal combines deep research grounding from an Ing. in Natural Language Processing with hands-on software architecture and Python engineering—shaping end-to-end pipelines, AutoML components, and scalable ranking/evaluation stacks. As a co-founder he brought transformer-based NER and entity linking into productized workflows, and earlier work includes search for 3D CAD models using deep nets and graph DB migrations. He’s comfortable across the ML lifecycle from model research to deployment and evaluation, and brings a practical curiosity reflected in side interests like hiking and martial arts that mirror his persistence in tough engineering problems.
