Top SchoolMick Hellstrom is a seasoned Senior Consultant and UNIX/virtualization architect with over a decade of experience designing and delivering resilient infrastructure for enterprises across APJ. He has led large UNIX transformations and virtualization projects (Sun Zones, LDoms, Linux vserver/OpenVZ, VMware) and centralized authentication at scale using LDAP/Kerberos/AD, with deep hands-on skills across Linux, Solaris, HPUX, databases and embedded systems. His background spans systems engineering, data centre operations (environmental and power), and developer tooling, reflecting a rare blend of low-level systems coding (C, assembler) and higher-level automation (Perl, Python, shell). As founder of MickMake Consulting and a content creator (MickMake on YouTube), he combines consulting practice with maker-driven outreach, bringing practical prototyping and educational communication to complex technical problems. Known for pragmatic architecture and cross-team technical leadership, he has repeatedly turned legacy estates into cost-effective, maintainable platforms while mentoring operations teams.
