Senior🎓
Top SchoolMiguel Durán-Olivencia is a Co-Founder and multidisciplinary engineer with a PhD in Statistical Physics and over a decade of experience translating deep theoretical insight into production-grade ML, cloud and quantitative systems. He has led innovation and cloud strategy for finance and WealthTech firms, architected serverless microservice platforms, and productionalised ML pipelines while teaching machine learning and conducting research as an Honorary Research Fellow at Imperial College London. Equally at home in C++, C# and Python, he champions test-driven development, Docker-first workflows and cloud-native design to move research-grade numerics into resilient, low-latency services. His background in stochastic processes and computational physics informs novel approaches to complex systems and risk modeling that most purely industry-trained engineers lack. Based in Seville, he now helps businesses scale their AI capabilities through his startup Vortico, combining academic rigor with hands-on engineering and product delivery.
