Top SchoolMiguel Pérez is a service design and research leader with 11 years of experience helping organizations turn human-centered insights into lower-risk, high-impact digital products. Currently leading modernization and QA practices for Colorado’s 40-year-old payroll system, he builds research practices and quality frameworks that become models for government technology projects. As founder of miguel.design he produced an Atomic Research Repository of 1,600+ observations, drove product roadmaps that unlocked profitable automation opportunities, and led AI integration strategies for generative design workflows. Previously he scaled a Design Center of Excellence that certified practitioners, cut costs dramatically, and saved millions by preventing unnecessary rewrites. Comfortable spanning UX research, front-end engineering, and product strategy, he has a knack for turning messy qualitative data into measurable business outcomes. Based in Denver, he combines civic-sector credibility with startup speed to deliver pragmatic, repeatable processes that de-risk innovation.
