Senior🎓
Top SchoolMike Nelson is a Senior Frontend Developer based in Chicago with 12 years of hands-on experience building enterprise-grade web applications using React, Angular, TypeScript and modern toolchains. He has a proven track record of modernizing stacks—migrating teams from Vue to React, introducing Vite/Jotai, and establishing Storybook-based component libraries—while mentoring engineers into senior roles. Mike combines deep UI/UX sensibilities from a graphic design background with practical delivery experience across AEM platforms, high-performance canvas visualizations, and CI/CD on AWS. He excels at turning complex data-heavy requirements into performant interactive interfaces and reusable component systems, and he’s as comfortable leading architecture decisions as he is shipping the code. A former consultant and self-employed developer, he brings client-facing instincts and product-minded collaboration to engineering leadership.
