Top SchoolMikk Kirstein is an engineering manager and founder with 13 years of experience building and scaling backend and frontend systems across startups and fast-growing product companies. He co-founded Dashbird and transitioned from CTO to executive roles at Bolt and now Zendesk, blending hands-on development (Node.js/TypeScript, PHP, Ember.js) with team leadership and delivery ownership. Known for mentoring teams, driving process improvements, and “nudging people to break more things,” he focuses on shipping resilient, high-performance services and pragmatic engineering culture. His background spans telecom portals, robotics (Starship), and observability at Dashbird, giving him a knack for integrating complex systems and developer workflows.
