Senior🎓
Top SchoolMiles Woodroffe is a hands-on CTO and veteran software leader with 14 years of experience building consumer products and teams across the US, Japan and the UK, scaling platforms from zero to 50+ million monthly active users. He combines deep Ruby on Rails expertise with product and operational leadership, frequently stepping into CEO, VP and founder roles while remaining active in code, infrastructure and hiring. At Cookpad he launched global HQ engineering, unified acquired properties into a single platform, and later led technology at Mindful Chef, a B-Corp recognised for sustainability impact. An advocate for the Rails ecosystem, he serves as a founding board member of The Rails Foundation and advises startups through his consultancy, Miles Better Ventures. Unusually, he brings a creative edge from a prior career as a live and studio sound engineer, having toured with iconic artists, which informs his collaborative, performance-driven approach to teams and systems.
