Top SchoolMyo Naing is a research-focused academic and practitioner with nine years of experience leading qualitative and policy research across Myanmar and South Africa, currently serving as Research Associate Professor at Shenzhen University. He has led large field programs—conducting dozens of interviews, multiple focus groups, and nationwide conflict mapping—to produce actionable reports on militias, public service delivery, and development planning. His work bridges governance, monitoring & evaluation, and knowledge management, including translating the National Aquaculture Development Plan into Myanmar and securing governmental approval. Comfortable both facilitating strategic planning workshops and doing hands-on fieldwork, he combines methodological rigor with practical stakeholder engagement. Trained to PhD level in Governance and with early roots in editing and translation, he brings a rare mix of analytical depth, communication skill, and long-standing commitment to Myanmar’s public sector reform. Colleagues describe him as contentedly ambitious: modest in material aims but relentless in pursuing expert knowledge and impactful scholarship.
