Summary
👤
SeniorNeil Hipona is a senior software engineer and tech lead with 11 years of hands-on experience building iOS apps and full-stack web services, currently leading mobile development at Cognizant. He blends deep Swift/SwiftUI and reactive patterns with backend Node.js and AWS operational know-how, regularly shipping CI/CD-backed releases for both enterprise banking and consumer projects. Comfortable switching roles between solo contributor, project lead, and freelancer, he has overseen server architecture, REST API design, and AWS deployments across startups and global teams. Neil’s curiosity drives him beyond apps into network management, security, and home lab tinkering—skills that inform pragmatic, production-ready engineering decisions. Known for mentoring peers and collaborating with high-performing teams, he consistently focuses on delivering features that make immediate business impact.
