Top SchoolNikita Popov is an Engineering Lead based in Amsterdam with 13 years of hands-on experience building developer tools, cloud automation, and integration systems. He currently heads the ReSharper development team at JetBrains, after progressing through senior engineering and performance coordination roles focused on language support and product velocity. His technical breadth spans .NET (C#, ASP.NET), MS SQL, Go, JavaScript and XML/XSLT, with a track record of migrating backends (Rails to Go) and optimizing large SQL-based data warehouses. Nikita combines deep systems-level knowledge—BI integrations, ETL, clustering and custom protocols—with frontend SPA work (React/Redux), making him comfortable across full-stack boundaries. Collected academic training in IT and Economics underpins a pragmatic approach to long-term product and architectural decisions. He’s the kind of engineer who moves between hands-on coding and team-level performance improvements, quietly reducing friction that most users never see.
