Senior🎓
Top SchoolOlivier Iffrig-petit is a Research Software Engineer with 12 years' experience building high-performance scientific and data-processing software, currently developing meteorological data pipelines at ECMWF. He combines deep numerical-methods and CFD experience from CEA with extensive HPC practice—MPI, C++ and Python—to deliver scalable, parallel workflows for massive datasets. His background spans magnetohydrodynamics simulations during a PhD to production-focused workload modelling, software benchmarking and automated deployment, bridging research and operational engineering. Olivier has a track record of optimizing complex build systems and data handling at scale, making him as comfortable tuning MPI jobs as designing reproducible pipelines. Based in Reading, UK, he brings a researcher’s rigor to production software and an eye for performance that often uncovers non-obvious bottlenecks early in a project.
