Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolOrlando Hohmeier is a seasoned software leader and Co-Founder & CTO based in Hamburg with 13 years of experience building product-focused engineering teams and shipping distributed systems. He progressed from hands-on engineering to managing and scaling multiple teams across networking, storage, and data services, driving promotions and turning underperformers into strong contributors. At Katulu he moved from Head of Engineering to CTO, applying pragmatic processes learned at Mesosphere and D2iQ to remote and distributed teams. He combines product empathy (earlier agency work delivering data-heavy web campaigns) with deep platform experience in DC/OS, container storage, and networking. Notably, he took parental leave intentionally and framed it as a period of active learning and leadership at home, reflecting his people-first approach. Practical, outcome-driven, and comfortable with hard problems, he thrives at the intersection of engineering, product, and team development.
