Summary
🤩
RockstarOskar Pearson is a seasoned engineering leader with 13 years of experience building and operating high-scale web and operations technology systems, currently Director of Engineering at Bloom & Wild leading OpsTech for warehouse and shipping tech. He combines hands-on architecture and DevOps credentials—having redesigned Rails monoliths, migrated platforms to AWS/Fargate/Terraform, and re-architected APIs for cacheability and performance—with proven large-scale production experience (e.g., UK Parliament petitions handling hundreds of thousands of signatures per day). Earlier in his career he architected and ran a distributed consumer finance platform that invoiced over £100M annually across 100+ servers and seven countries, showing deep expertise in resilient, regulated systems. He founded and led Vivid Compass, delivering complex DevOps and platform work for customers like Songkick, Worldpay, and Ministry of Justice, and has long contributed to open-source healthcare tech (OpenAPS). Colleagues know him as a pragmatic consensus-builder who pairs technical rigor with operational ownership and a knack for turning legacy systems into scalable, monitored services.
