Top SchoolPablo Morato is a Senior Researcher based in Munich with 8 years of experience applying AI and computational decision-making to design, operate, and manage large-scale built-environment systems. His work bridges engineering and machine learning with a bi-directional focus: deploying AI for scalable real-world solutions while deriving new methods from practical infrastructure challenges. He has led postdoctoral research across leading European institutions (TU Munich, TU Delft, DTU, University of Liège) on topics from computer vision for building energy retrofits to data-driven asset integrity and optimal maintenance planning for offshore wind. Pablo combines deep domain expertise in offshore and maritime structures with strong methodological skills in reliability, resilience, and decision support, and has a PhD in Engineering Sciences. Notably, he translates complex digital-twin and inspection-planning problems into tractable AI-driven strategies that directly inform industry practice.
