Top SchoolPatricia Aas is an AppSec trainer and C++ specialist with nine years of professional experience building cross-platform media and GUI systems and a long history in browser and embedded development. As co-founder and CTO at TurtleSec she blends hands-on secure C++ consulting, public speaking and training—authoring courses like “(In)Secure C++” and “Mod(C++)”—with contractor work on application security. Her background includes leading media integration for Chromium at Vivaldi, deep platform work across Linux, Windows and macOS, and earlier GUI and codec integration at Opera and Cisco. She prioritizes maintainable, extensible architectures that enable frequent delivery to large user bases and is known for translating low-level platform capabilities into polished user experiences. An educator at heart, she mentors students, runs trainings, and contributes to standards work (W3C) and community security efforts through TurtleSec.
