Top SchoolPatrick Cockwell is an observability engineer with 13 years of experience building data-driven infrastructure and analytics platforms across AWS and GCP. He blends strong software engineering roots (University of Waterloo) with hands-on DevOps expertise—Terraform, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Airflow and BigQuery feature heavily in his work. Patrick has designed end-to-end ETL and analytics systems that ingest terabyte-scale datasets and turned those patterns into repeatable, secure infrastructure-as-code for multi-tenant environments. He’s delivered ephemeral developer environments and GitOps pipelines that sped developer velocity and reduced cloud costs, and more recently has applied AI to boost team productivity in observability projects. Comfortable shipping both backend services and web interfaces, he brings a pragmatic focus on data correctness and operational reliability shaped by early analytics and security roles. Based in Norwalk, CA, he combines consulting breadth with enterprise-grade production experience, often surfacing subtle data-quality and permissioning issues before they hit users.
