Top SchoolPatrick D'appollonio is a Head of Engineering and cloud-native leader with 12 years of experience building and operating scalable infrastructure for finance and entertainment customers. He’s led large cloud migrations—most notably moving a major bank to the cloud—and built an internal platform dubbed "DreamWorks Cloud" while at DreamWorks Animation. Deep hands-on skills span Kubernetes, Terraform, Go and Rust, CI/CD, and load balancers (Nginx/HAProxy), and he frequently blends platform architecture with pragmatic engineering leadership. His career mixes startup and enterprise roles—from Netlify and Ubisoft to consulting engagements—demonstrating an ability to design systems and then take teams through execution. Based in Toronto, he pairs formal MS-level IT training with early roots in web and product work across Chile, giving him an unusual combination of international perspective and full-stack operational experience. Expect a leader who still codes in Go/Rust and prioritizes developer experience when shaping cloud platforms.
