👤
SeniorPatrick Petit is a Senior Cloud Architect with 35+ years in distributed systems and 11 years focused on cloud architecture, specializing in OpenStack, Kubernetes and observability for large-scale, telco-grade infrastructures. He has a track record of building and leading teams and R&D efforts—creating Mirantis’s StackLight observability used by major accounts and co-founding OpenNext to productize an OpenStack-to-Kubernetes private cloud. A Certified OpenStack Administrator with an MBA (distinction) researching the business economics of cloud, he blends deep low-level Unix and performance engineering roots with pragmatic cloud-native operations. Patrick excels at making complex infrastructures maintainable and automated, from automated server provisioning to centralized logging and real-time alerting. He is equally comfortable in hands-on engineering, productizing open-source stacks, and guiding lifecycle and support processes for production clouds. Based in Grenoble, France, he often threads historical Unix system insight into modern cloud solutions—a practical advantage in solving hard operational problems.
