Senior🎓
Top SchoolPaul Heaney is a security-cleared CTO and CISO with 16+ years’ experience designing, building and operating large-scale Identity and Access Management (IAM) services across multiple sectors and geographies. He has deep, hands-on expertise with federation and provisioning platforms (Ping, NetIQ, Oracle, Shibboleth, midPoint/OpenICF and Microsoft FIM), delivering solutions for estates from hundreds to millions of identities. At ProofID he progressed from Head of Managed Services to CTO/CISO, building and leading 10+ person teams that manage end-to-end service delivery, stakeholder governance and global onboarding. A pragmatic engineer who codes in Java/PHP and architects Linux-first systems, he has merged development, operations and security to meet demanding performance and distributed-user requirements. Notably, his career blends technical connector development and large-scale operational experience—having run IAM for customers in the UK, Europe, US and Asia—rather than just theoretical architecture.
