Top SchoolPaul Searcy is an accomplished electro‑optics leader with nearly three decades of hands‑on experience designing advanced optical systems—from LIDAR and high‑power excimer lasers to free‑space and space‑ground optical communications. Currently Director of Electro Optics at Voyager Technologies and principal consultant at Paul Searcy Optics, he blends deep expertise in polarization optics, liquid crystals, spatial light modulators and opto‑mechanical packaging with proven R&D and product leadership at companies like Meadowlark and BridgeComm. He has a Caltech BS in Optics/Materials and an MSEE from CU‑Boulder focused on optically addressed SLMs, a combination that fuels his knack for turning physics into manufacturable optical subsystems. Known for solving “impossible” problems in small, collaborative teams, Paul pairs theoretical depth with practical manufacturing and systems integration experience for space and telecom applications.
