Top SchoolPaul Veugen is a serial founder and investor based in Amsterdam with nine years of focused experience building consumer-facing mobile products that simplify video creation. As Founder & CEO of Detail Technologies and the new Subwave, he is on a mission to make video editing obsolete by helping people create better video faster for iPhone and iPad. He pairs product-led growth instincts honed at Mapbox and Color with early-stage investing through NP-Hard Ventures and prior seed activity, backing gritty teams across Europe and the U.S. Paul’s background in communication, UX and cognitive science informs a user-first approach to product design and go-to-market strategy. Beyond founding companies, he has a track record of mentoring and advising startups (including Usabilla) and scaling teams across transatlantic markets. An intriguing throughline: he repeatedly blends creative UX sensibilities with technical product leadership to turn complex media workflows into delightful consumer experiences.
