Senior🎓
Top SchoolPavan Athreya is an engineering leader with 9 years of experience building and directing complex software and IoT systems, currently leading SaaS Architecture Management and Evolution at Siemens. He blends hands-on systems and edge architecture (WASM, FPGA/SoC, RTOS) with program and research management across cloud/edge, MLOps, and industrial IoT. At Siemens he co-leads DoE-funded research on distributed transactive energy systems and teaches internal certified programs on modern software craftsmanship and systems engineering. His background spans productizing mobile and BLE-enabled medical/consumer devices, leading device orchestration for industrial PCs, and shipping end-to-end cloud-native solutions. Trained at USC Viterbi (MS EE) and experienced in academia-industry collaboration, he often bridges prototype research to production-grade engineering. Less obvious: he pairs deep technical standards work (Bytecode Alliance/WASM) with practical cost-saving product features, demonstrating both research depth and pragmatic impact.
