Top SchoolPercy Vega is a seasoned Senior Software Engineer with 11+ years building resilient Java-based microservices and event-driven systems across e-learning, finance, and telecom. He combines deep hands-on expertise in Java, Spring (including Spring Boot 3), Kafka, MongoDB and container orchestration with formal business training (MS CS and an MBA), enabling technical decisions that align with product and operational goals. Percy has led platform and tooling improvements—introducing CI/CD, testing frameworks, and logging/observability integrations—while mentoring teams and enforcing code quality through regular reviews. He’s delivered high-concurrency, low-footprint async solutions (Vert.x, CQRS/Axon) and practical migration efforts from legacy stacks to modern JVMs, demonstrating an eye for reducing technical debt. As organizer of the Orlando Java User Group he fosters local Java community growth and connects practitioners with industry sponsors and speakers. Outside work he signals a pragmatic, values-driven mindset—“Saved by grace”—that underpins steady leadership and collaborative engineering.
