Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolPeter Adrichem is a seasoned Data Engineer based in Amsterdam with 13 years of professional experience and a long career in backend and systems roles stretching back to the 1990s. He builds robust, scalable web APIs and tooling—especially for media and public-sector systems—bringing deep practical expertise in Python, LAMP, WSGI/Apache, MySQL, Redis and automation with Ansible. Peter treats technology as a tool rather than an end in itself and emphasizes problem definition as half the solution, favoring DRY, SoC and pragmatic FOSS approaches. His background includes long tenures at NPO and Gemeente Amsterdam, where he connected complex systems like Video on Demand backends and public data platforms. Trained in mathematics at the University of Amsterdam, he combines analytical rigor with hands-on ops experience across Linux, Unix and macOS environments. Colleagues value his steady, solutions-first mindset and broad, low-level familiarity with web, XML/XSLT and integration technologies.
