Top SchoolPhil Uvarov is a Backend & Data engineer with a decade of experience building scalable data platforms, developer tools, and cross-platform systems, currently shaping backend and data work at Embark Studios in Stockholm. He led data collection architecture and petabyte-scale modeling at Spotify, architected next-gen playback backends and event delivery SDKs, and earlier drove Android modernization and release practices at Truecaller and Avito. Phil blends deep system design skills with a developer-productivity mindset, frequently turning platform initiatives into measurable reductions in bugs and onboarding time. He is comfortable spanning client C++/Android code to Java backends and data pipelines, and mentors engineers to grow robust, user-driven tools. A less obvious strength: his background in business and marketing informs pragmatic roadmaps and stakeholder-aligned architecture choices.
