Senior🎓
Top SchoolPhilip Wood is a DevOps Engineer with 11 years of experience building resilient cloud-native platforms and integration solutions across South Africa's financial and utility sectors. He has led DevOps and architecture initiatives at companies including Melio AI, BVNK (supporting Grindrod Bank’s Bigbaobab core banking rebuild), and the South African Reserve Bank, combining hands-on Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD toolchain work with pragmatic platform design. Philip’s background in integration and message architecture gives him a rare ability to translate complex legacy systems into modern microservice ecosystems while keeping operational reliability front of mind. He’s equally comfortable advising on application architecture as he is automating deployments and performance testing, and his career shows a consistent thread of driving industrialisation and centres of excellence. Based in Gauteng, he pairs strong communication and design sensibilities with a deep theoretical grounding that informs practical, scalable solutions.
