Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolPhilipp Berner is a seasoned founder and engineering leader with 13 years of experience building consumer and collaboration products at scale, including co-founding Keepsafe (75–100M users) where he served as CTO and head of product. As CEO of Closer he helped bridge in-office collaboration to remote teams before its acquisition by ClickUp, and he now focuses on what’s next in AI while advising and investing in startups. He combines hands-on engineering—shipping mobile A/B frameworks, core iOS/Android work, and distributed engineering teams across SF, Berlin and Krakow—with product and security leadership. Known for turning consumer privacy and collaboration needs into profitable SaaS, he brings a pragmatic founder’s lens to early-stage investments. Based in San Francisco with a computer science background, he’s quietly prolific at connecting product strategy to engineering execution.
