Top SchoolPhilipp Knobel is a Lead Software Engineer based in Jena, Germany, with over 15 years of professional experience and a 20+ year journey in software development since his Computer Science diploma. At Salesforce he progressed from maintaining in-house RPC and service frameworks to owning distributed, cloud-native applications deployed with Kubernetes and Terraform. He combines full-service ownership—from requirements and design to deployment and incident resolution—with a people-first leadership style that emphasizes mentoring and team growth. His early work includes a MongoDB-based document storage prototype and tooling for high-resolution image tiling, showing a long-standing interest in pragmatic, infrastructure-aware solutions.
