Founder at Convoke
Canada
Summary
🤩
RockstarPhilippe Castonguay is a founder and product leader with 11 years building web3 and blockchain-native gaming products, including leading product and research at Sequence and authoring smart contract standards like ERC-1155 and ERC-1271. He combines hands-on Solidity engineering—writing Skyweaver and Niftyswap contracts and researching meta-transactions and smart contract wallets—with strategic product vision to drive mainstream blockchain adoption through gaming. Based in Canada, he now builds an AI-powered webcam TCG platform and has launched an AI translation startup, reflecting a pattern of using emerging tech as practical adoption levers. Philippe is obsessed with emergent systems and intentionally uses games as a “Trojan horse” to onboard users to Ethereum, favoring passion-driven execution over pure credentialism.
