Top SchoolPhillip Manwaring is an engineering manager and serverless architect with 11 years of hands-on experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade systems and leading technical teams. Based in New York, he has driven architecture, delivery, and talent development across ecommerce, payments, insurance, healthcare, and retail energy, often accelerating time-to-market through event-driven microservices and serverless platforms (AWS, Terraform, Serverless Framework). He excels at scaling teams and capability—growing an office from ~20 to ~40 engineers, establishing mentorship and DE&I programs, and coaching senior leaders on lean and DevOps practices. Known for turning long delivery cycles into days rather than months, he blends technical depth (full-stack and serverless design) with people-first leadership and a knack for recruiting and developing diverse, high-performing teams.
