Senior🎓
Top SchoolPhillip Weston is an enterprise architect and seasoned software engineer with roughly two decades of engineering experience and a dozen years in senior leadership roles, now leading a team at Onix from Holly Springs, NC. He’s delivered end-to-end, cloud-native solutions across AWS, Kubernetes, TypeScript, Node, and modern data stores, and has a strong UX sensibility that helps translate fuzzy business needs into practical, testable systems. Phillip excels at stabilizing projects under churn—replacing key personnel, rescuing abandoned implementations like a Loki logger rollout, and restoring client confidence through proactive communication. He has a track record of creating repeatable deployment blueprints and integration platforms, and of mentoring engineers to lift team capability. Comfortable across frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Flutter) and backend stacks, he often pairs engineering rigor with product-minded UX prototypes to accelerate delivery. Outside of core delivery, he brings a pragmatic automation-first mindset from earlier roles in systems automation and operations, which informs his emphasis on reliability and developer productivity.
