Senior🎓
Top SchoolPierce Stegman is a machine learning software engineer in New York with 11 years of experience building production ML systems and research prototypes across NLP and brain-computer interfaces. He has shipped reinforcement learning reranking and click-probability models at Yext, led GPT-3 style model training and infrastructure optimization, and now contributes to large-scale systems at Google. His academic work and industry research focus on EEG signal processing and imagined-movement detection, and he has implemented both neural architectures and real-time signal pipelines in TensorFlow and JavaScript. Pierce brings full-stack chops—from Flask/Vue demos that helped sell products to Java productionization of models—and a knack for turning research-grade algorithms into maintainable, deployable services. An extra thread through his career is building tooling and libraries (including a widely used BCI JavaScript library) that enable others to experiment with brainwave data.
