Top SchoolPietro Leoni is a Senior Design Technologist with 12 years of experience at the intersection of design, hardware, and embedded systems, currently prototyping novel interaction paradigms at Amazon Lab126’s Emerging Devices team. He previously led multimodal, human-centered prototyping for autonomous mobility at Zoox, translating Figma concepts into integrated light, sound, and motion systems and AI assistants that connect UI, onboard systems, and backend services. His background spans research-driven urban projects at MIT Senseable City Lab (co-initiating Roboat) to award-winning interactive installations and consumer products like Scribit, blending custom hardware, APIs, and real-time visualization. Comfortable bridging product design and engineering, he builds tools that accelerate both creative exploration and operational workflows. Known for turning architectural thinking into tangible prototypes, he brings an unusual mix of spatial design sensibility and hands-on embedded systems craft to mobility and emerging-device challenges.
