Top SchoolPrabal Banerjee is a co-founder and blockchain researcher with 11 years of experience building secure, practical distributed systems from academic theory to startup product. Based in Dubai, he led research at Polygon after earning advanced training in cryptology and security at the Indian Statistical Institute and computer science at Chennai Mathematical Institute. His work spans consensus design, verifiable off-chain exchange protocols, and robust P2P storage—experience grounded in hands-on implementations using Hyperledger, state channels, and erasure coding. At Avail he’s focused on infrastructure-layer primitives that make blockchain systems more composable and resilient, applying both theoretical rigor and production-minded engineering. A lesser-known thread through his career is consistent focus on eliminating facilitator advantage and wasteful computation in protocols, reflecting a bias toward economically efficient, auditable systems.
