Top SchoolPraneet Mehta is a maritime engineer-turned-entrepreneur with over a decade of hands-on seafaring experience who now leads two education-focused ventures: JMDi Academy and Merchant Navy Decoded. He rose from junior engineer to Chief Engineer aboard commercial vessels, then translated that operational leadership into mentoring hundreds of cadets and building a 60k-strong maritime community through practical, skills-first content. Praneet blends technical mastery of ship engineering with a passion for attitude and leadership development, emphasizing real-world readiness over rote coursework. His work targets both merchant navy aspirants and future defence officers, and he has leveraged social media and an educational platform to scale mentorship nationwide. Notably, he approaches teaching with the same crew-first ethos he practiced at sea—empowering juniors while maintaining accountability to deliver high-performing officers.
