Top SchoolPraveen Velliengiri is a software engineer with nine years of experience specializing in low-level systems, compilers, and high-performance GPU tooling, currently on the software engineering team at Apple. He spent three years at AMD enhancing GPU ML/HPC compilers and developer tools, and has interned at AWS, Intel, and on LLVM-related projects via Google Summer of Code, giving him deep exposure to compiler internals, database query semantics, and ML runtimes. A Penn State computer science grad student, he combines strong algorithmic foundation with practical systems work—from JIT compiler contributions to bridging imperative and relational semantics in databases. Known for tackling tricky performance and correctness problems, he brings both production engineering rigor and research-minded curiosity to problems at the intersection of hardware, compilers, and distributed systems.
