Senior🎓
Top SchoolQuentin Bonenfant is a French software engineer with 10 years of experience specializing in bioinformatics and embedded systems, currently working as an Ingénieur Développement in Poitiers. He designs algorithms and tools for Oxford Nanopore sequencing data—adapter trimming, clustering and alignment—and developed the Porechop_ABI software during his doctoral research. Equally comfortable prototyping electronics as an independent contractor, he delivers end-to-end products from CAD and PCB design to firmware and integration. Quentin blends academic research experience at CNRS and Université de Lille with practical industrial engineering, making him adept at turning sequencing challenges into robust, deployable solutions. Curious by nature, he continues to explore intersections between molecular biology and software-driven instrumentation.
