Quentin Chan is a research engineer based in Paris with 11 years of experience applying advanced mathematics and machine learning to R&D problems, currently working at EDF Lab Saclay. Trained at Mines Paris and ENS Paris-Saclay (MVA), he specializes in applied mathematics for data, image and signal processing, with hands-on experience solving PDEs via deep learning and stochastic calculus during his EDF internship. His background spans control theory and model-predictive control from ONERA, applied ML for urban security at Thales R&T, and pragmatic tooling improvements such as VBA automation in industry settings. Quentin combines rigorous mathematical foundations with production-minded experimentation, making him comfortable both in theoretical research and in translating methods into engineered solutions. An understated strength is his continuity at EDF from intern to research engineer, showing sustained impact on industrial R&D projects.
