Top SchoolRafael Araujo is a lead software engineer with 11+ years of experience building scalable AWS serverless architectures and modernizing complex legacy platforms. Currently leading engineering efforts at The Access Group (Geo) and consulting as Principal Engineer at icons4u, he blends hands-on development with strategic roadmap planning to improve reliability and reduce operational costs. He has a long history of backend and systems work dating back to 2005, including founding a startup (ECONRIO) and contributing to academic and enterprise projects, which gives him a pragmatic, product-focused perspective. An open-source advocate and regular writer on DEV.to and his personal blog, Rafael emphasizes developer experience and knowledge sharing alongside delivery. Based on his track record, he often surfaces non-obvious efficiencies in legacy migrations that materially cut maintenance burden while increasing uptime.
