Top SchoolRafael Magalhães is an experienced engineering leader based in Rio de Janeiro with 11 years building front-end and Smart TV solutions and currently leading Tier-1 customer projects and engineering teams at Accedo.tv. He moved from hands-on front-end development in 2013 into technical and people leadership roles, having shaped and scaled Globoplay’s Smart TV offering from prototype to a multi-squad product. Rafael combines deep practical knowledge of performance-sensitive JavaScript and TV platforms with a knack for hiring, mentoring, and process improvement. He balances customer-facing technical ownership and pre-sales support with day-to-day engineering work, remaining directly hands-on when needed. Known for turning solo prototypes into production teams, he also co-founded an IT consultancy focused on people-first staffing and continuous feedback. His background reflects a rare blend of frontend performance expertise and empathetic team management across large media products.
